My Why

Hello, and thank you for supporting my small business.
My name is Shonda, and I am the proud owner of SC Creations LLC.

SC Creations LLC began as a creative outlet during a season of rediscovery — a time when I was reconnecting with who I am, what brings me joy, and what I wanted my creativity to represent. While I have always loved crafting and creating, this business became more than making beautiful things. It became a space for growth, healing, and purpose.

Starting this journey allowed me to redefine how I introduce myself. I am no longer just a mother, a wife, or a good friend.   I am also a small business owner and a published author. Through this process, I have created journals, notebooks, and affirmation-based books designed to encourage reflection and self-awareness, many of which are available on Amazon.

As my journey continued, my “why” became clearer.

I realized that creativity had always been tied to my own mental and emotional wellness. Crafting gave me space to process, reflect, and care for myself, and I began to understand the power of words, affirmation, and encouragement, especially during challenging or transitional seasons of life.

Because of this, SC Creations LLC is intentionally refocusing on mental and emotional wellness through affirmations and reflection, with a special emphasis on women and teen girls. My goal is to create tools and products that offer encouragement, support positive self-talk, and remind others that caring for their mental health matters.

While my focus is evolving, crafting remains an important part of my business. I will continue to create meaningful, customized items, now with greater intention and alignment. Whether through affirmation books, wellness-focused products, or thoughtfully crafted pieces for special moments, every creation is rooted in care, encouragement, and purpose.

This journey has also deepened my understanding of self-care and self-love. I’ve learned that prioritizing mental health is not selfish, it is necessary. It is my hope that through my own self-discovery, creativity, and reflections, others are reminded to give themselves permission to pause, reflect, and choose themselves without guilt.
